Welcome to the English Major at Tecnica del Norte University (UTN). In here, you will become part of a community interested in learning and teaching English. Our teaching staff is looking forward to making your nine semesters of undergraduate studies an enriching and pleasant learning experience. The English major provides high quality education focused on both: English language learning and teaching that reflect innovation of thought and reflection in the teaching learning process.

During your studies you will also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and hone teaching strategies through collaborative teaching practice. Our department ensures that our undergraduate students are prepared to enter the English teaching profession at different educational levels and pursue further studies in the language teaching field.
